What is Pretreatment of bandhani dress material before stiching?

    I bought a bandhini material from ahmedabad .it is cotton dress and is tied .now to stich that dress.is rolling required before giving to tailoring?Relse soak over night with salt water and steam press is enough.i have a doubt.if i do so the dress becomes plain printed bandhani.,so should i iron it?.plz any suggest me ideas.
