    have a wonderful diwali, it is not important what u make or how much but yes the children are there and it is the greatest time of their life now, to enjoy and they would devour anything done by their mom...all the best ma may god bless that veda come to you soon and start in chennai , u know my morning idli sambhar at my mom's place i feel very blessed to be called even at this age..may god leave me these moments a little more a few more days..sunkan

    Thanks a lot. Actually you and my mom share the same name. So am as happy as when my Mom blessed me.

    Really longing for the third member. Atleast by next diwali!!! I hope the IL's blessings will bring the third member soon. Praying God for it everyday.

    Hey IL'ites,

    Wish you all a very Happy Deepavali / Diwali.

    Thanks to Sunkan for starting this thread. It made everyone come in and say what's the savories and sweets they made at home. That inspired me too to try some simple stuff.

    I made thenkuzhal murukku, maida diamond chips (namkara), mysore pa and gulab jamoon.

    Murukku & chips was C's version of recipes.
    Mysore pa was a combimnation of my MIL's and C. But I think I was a little quick in removing it off the stove. The consistency was in-between burfi and halwa.

    So, should I say gulab jamoob was my own version or it is of MTR's? :crazy

    dear malathy you are the golden line on this thread, i am so happy you have come to share here, yes it is nice that all are making so many things an effort to keep hubby, children happy or parents included, quite an item for a busy lady like u, yes this is where we mothers outbeat the kids and they keep saying aiyo ammanna idu pannuva evlo pannuva and all...so kutti kavya and mr jey a great treat indeed, wish you all a very happy diwali and let me light the lamps of indus in ur compound and the glow of all those lights in ur house, as i know all love you so much that it is going to be more kolaghalam for bringing in so many ladies together to share and laugh..ur unique and mr jey is also very lucky to have you as his life partner....lots of hugs and kisses to kutti kavya, what pavadai or any new dress, i am sure she is not going to miss anything...with lots of love sunkan
