What Is Ailing Ukraine?

Definitely. This is true of many world leaders that have entered conflicts. That’s why a lot of this is just political posturing and nothing really gets done. Once one starts pointing fingers everything immediately goes haywire as no one is pristine.
Biden is under pressure to show that they are doing something tangible because they have refused many of the Ukrainian demands that will infringe in NATO involvement. So they have to be seen and heard saying the right things, regardless of what actually gets done.

India is delusional if they think their current “neutral” stance is going to win them any favors in future. If there is any aggression from China they are going to get a taste of their own medicine. Russia will not pick sides and will stop any action at the security council.

 

It’s true Non alignment movement always helped India if we look at history . During Goa liberation, countries like US and UK condemned India’s action and it was Egypt who supported India in the UN that Goa is no more under Portuguese. It was Nehru’s relationship with Egypt’s Gemal Nasser helped India at that time. Egypt even blocked Brit warship to use the Suez canal to threaten India. The truth is non of the western countries were never with India.. India and the USA have never been close allies. When India got independence, after partition, in 1947 we became inclined to socialism and thus became close to the USSR. On the other hand, Pakistan became more close to the USA to counter India.

The USA never helped India in any war, be it the war India fought against China in 1962 or the rest of the wars fought against Pakistan in 1947–48(Kashmir), 1965(Kashmir & Western Front), 1971(Bangladesh), and 1999 (Kargil). Only Russia and Israel helped India in the wars. So it is evident India is only acting on its own national interests here.

Anyway this is not about India but Ukraine people’s right.Putin is definitely in the wrong here and I am not sure how long can India take the neutral stance without tarnishing our image even though we are only acting on our national interests.

 

Ukraine has held out thus far because of the overt and covert help being supplied by NATO. They have to walk a fine line so as not to provoke an outright nuclear fiasco or have Putin wailing that they only won because the West did it for them. This is not a video game with instant results. What would you have Ukraine do instead, perish like sitting ducks? Oh, the Russians did that too with all the civilians they murdered.
As for oil, you can’t turn the spigot off overnight but many countries are taking steps. At least they’re not rushing in to take advantage of deeply discounted prices like certain others are doing.
Putin is not hesitating to murder his own people when the objective suits him. Do you really think he’s going to help India over China? Ha ha. The only thing India is doing now is damaging their reputation.

 

Putin is the only one responsible for this current disaster. Period.
Everything else is noise.
