    I never knew what it was until my husband had it in 2007,he was treated immediately and Thank God doing good so far with exercise medicine and diet.Everyone of us should be aware of it.

    hi dr preetha
    im very worried abt my husband health. just married two years ago having a baby recently. he is overweight with psoriasis,no exercise,high cholestrol,his parents have heart problem and diabetes. psorisis is said to be connected with cardiovascular diseases. Can u please advice me how to take care of him and the risks involved.please im very scared

    Dear Eagerfly,
    As you said it is true that psoriasis have increased risk of heart attack that too if it is hereditary.You can of course check his diet. Remember adding green leafy vegetables,carrot,cabbage,beans etc to his diet every week.Avoid tapioca,potato,egg and other animal protein diets often.Make sure he walks some distance everyday,make him purchase vegs,groceries etc by walk.Avoid night awakenings,day sleeps.Use olive oil in cooking or safflower oil.Have healthy sexual relationship often.Dont worry ,your husband will stay healthy.
