What do you think about your MIL/FIL??

MIL is an Angel or Devil?

Ladies,
MIL plays a major role in our married life.Just I would like to know ,How many of your MIL's are helping you?

Angel
· Treating DIL as same like her daughter
· Will not interfere in son & DIL personal life
· Will not interfere in money issues
· Will share all the household chores
· Must not talk gossips about DIL & her family
· Encouraging DIL in every moves

Devil
· Treating DIL as same like slave
· Will always interfere in son & DIL personal life & creating problems
· Will interfere in money issues. She needs whole money earned by DIL & son
· Will order & torture DIL to do all household chores
· Scolding DIL & her family
· Discouraging DIL for even small issues

My mil is a MONSTER IN LAW
angel is a too far away word to be used

My DMIL may not satisfy some of the 6 bullet points you have listed under Angel BUT She is an Angel. :thumbsup Her intentions are pure - She wants her son & I to be happy.

My MIL is an angel when it comes to sharing household chores.
However it comes with a cribbing that DIL is treating her as a servant if she does her own chores of cooking & folding clothes.. even tho I hired a maid, she would crib that they lady dries & folds it unclean & instead of teaching her right way she choses to pick out her, her son's & grand daughter's clothes & leave mine, FIL and my son's clothes on the line for the maid to pick.

Rest she's a devil to core as she can never see her DIL happy. Her intentions are very wicked to keep her son and DIL in full control & make them dance to her tune & constantly feed son with items for unhappy life.

My MIL is an Angel though she does not fulfill some of the 6 points mentioned.
Her inner intensions is she needs us (me & my DH) to be happy but she does not know how to express it in a proper way.

Saipavani1, mstrue, mathanggi & Pandusk are very lucky. Really I feel happy for you ladies.

ShilpaMa & Lavi both of you are same like me.

My MIL is a devil :rant. I am jovial type. I cannot hide any secrets. Even though I am hiding the secrets , my guiltiness will show on my eyes. But my MIL took advantage on this.I thought after my marriage. She is my second mom. Later I saw her original colour. She will do anything for money. So I am maintaining distance from her nowadays.

sure my MIL is a devil

Never treated me nor my daughter as her family members

I am always there for house work but never involved me any family discussions or decisions.

Always consider's my parents as her worst enemy's even just smiling at them she thinks she has done a great favour.

Trys her best to involve herself in our personal matter but touch wood in all these years my DH has turned a lil sensible not to speak any personal things in front of her.

My MIL is an angel. She cares for me, shows affection, shares house work.

Yes, she has gossiped about me and my family very much thrice, which caused so much of misunderstandings between us. She interferes in our matters, but that is fine, usually elders in the family does that. Since I have been living with her from Day 1 of marriage, I got used to it.

We can't have 100% perfect MIL and I may also not be 100% perfect DIL to her. Now we have cleared all misunderstandings and leading good life together. Even I have all these issues, she is still an angel to me.
