Hi All, I love Bengaluru, i moved to bangalore after marriage but instantly started liking this place. All of them covered all the points, but my choice would be:- 1. Schooling.... i feel u have some good qlty schools(now don't compare their fees... but still Best) 2. Wide choice of restaurants from diffn cuisines...... 3. Street foods (chats, boiled peanuts, corn , bhel ....mmmmm) 4. Flowers.....( i love jasmine flowers which we get in Banaglore. 5. Temples and places to go for break in and around Bangalore 6. Vegetables /fruits. The only thing i really hate abt bangalore is the Rickshaw wallah's, they really suck ur blood and are really very mean and nasty... Others are tolerable to a certain extent.
Thanks Hema for your acknowledgement Dear Chocolate, i like roadside corns, to eat and see. Black burnts on white corn with lime juice, salt and chilli paste would tempt my taste buds. bonk
Dear alamelu, Sure Bengalooru is Yuva's city :cheers People with dreams, confidence and they are independant to take own decision. But the sad part is, some adults misuse their freedom.
Dear Vaidehi, Shivmandir is my favorite place. Divineness of Shivmandir in kempfort, wow, bangalore takes special pride in that.:bowdown Pavi, Commercial place is the apt one for shopping. I like salwars and slippers there.
this topic made me nostalgic... I always liked Bangalore for its trees and greenery. It is disappearing at an alarming rate. Weather used to be good throughout the year. It is on the hotter side the past few times I have visited. Street food, restaurants just thinking makes my mouth water. Mangoes, Jackfruit, Jasmine, plenty of fresh vegetables and the list goes on. It is very crowded and mostly hear all other languages except Kannada.
Hi friends, Its a nice topic to discuss on B'lore . Yup! beautiful B'lore which attracts people......... I like kannadigaru in B'lore. Many gud places for refreshing!!!.
The first thing that comes to my mind as I hear the word Bangalore... MY PARENTS !!! Oh I miss them sooo muchhh !! Second to that.. as usual chaat centers, andhra / chinese restaurants, my cousins , my friends , the auto drivers whom I used to fight with when they demand " meter mele extra " !!! oh and sooo much more.. Traffic is something I have always disliked but felt it much much better during my last visit !! However.. always your home city is the closest to your heart !! P.S - Me and my hubbypie have some pics of Basavangudi fresh veggies and autos / buses just as memories !! bonk
Nice of you start this bujji. Wow, i like everything abt blore. I miss my family the most and it is the warmthness of the people which makes bangalore so special. Like to shop (even if it is window shopping) in commercial street. I miss those walks in malleswaram during festivals with the smell of fresh flowers and people all around. Revathi
I am not from Bangalore but had been to visit couple of years since my parents lived there. Also my son was born there. The first thing that comes to my mind are the flowers. Esp Gandhi bazar and the little streets there. And the food places... oh really good. Since i always went in summer, right in time when Bengalooru raw mango (we call it kilimookku) makes its appearance... with raw chili powder and eating them under the trees... Latha
