    Hello ILites,

this thread is to discuss any changes you have made in your shopping and cooking as things are getting expensive. My grocery bill is increasing by the day be it milk, bread, eggs, juice, vegetables, fruits, snacks, rice, dhals or flour. Are you adapting other cuisines? Please share your ideas, recipes and how you are making it work.

Let me start. I have started looking for sales, making a list before I go the store, shopping alone, using coupons etc. Sometimes if it is something we use regularly or something kids like I buy more.

I have not done anything specific so far. But I make sure that I don't waste any food. I try to cook what is needed for both of us and make sure that we eat it all and not throw it. One good thing I have learnt is first finish everything in the fridge then only go for shopping.

    Hi,

I have also not brought about any changes. In fact, how can we bring about changes? Specially if it is a food luving family like mine!

I have also been doing the same as what Mridusudha has said. I buy just enough vegetables to last a week, so that I do not end up with rotting vegetables.
