Wow!!! your ambal looks awesome vijima. And Nendram Pazham as neivedhyam is new to me did you pressure cook it? Just want to know so that i can also make it bcas now i want to make some thing very simple with my little one in hand.
For very few festival we can have healthy food stuffs...in that list Navrathi got listed as number one bcas all 9 days we can eat high protein stuffs.

@Magee dear glad to know you liked the ambal . Ya I cut the nendram pazham and kept in cooker in a vessel. Then in a kadai took some jaggery added little water and when the jaggery got dissolved added the nendhram pazham, actually I kept the nendhram pazham in the cooker and told my husband to add jaggeryas I was busy

We celebrate 9 days of the festival by offering special nyvadyam for each avtara of durga. 1st day we worship amman as bala tripurasundari and offer katte pongal 2nd day we worship amman as gayathri devi and offer lemon rice as nyvadyam. 3rd day we worship amman as mahalakshmi and offer sweet kesari as nyvadyam 4th day we worship amman as annapurna devi and offer coconut rice as nyvadyam. 5th day we worship amman as lalitha tripura sundari and offer ginger vada as nyvadyam. 6th day that is today we worship amman as sarasvathi devi and offer thayir sadam as nyvadyam. I did not noticed the thread. hence i haven't taken the clicks. 7th day that is tomorrow we worship amman in the form of durga and offer kadambam as nyvadyam. surely I will post the pics tomorrow.
Thanks for the tag , @Magee. This year there is no festival for us . So no daily Neivedhyam . I just made "Pal Payasam " as Neivedhyam for the first day of Navarathri . Did not click any picture. For Saraswathi Pooja I am planning to do some Neivedhyam and will try to click and share here. Regards, Pavithra
Thank you @magee for tagging me... First day of navarathri, chakkara pongal was made as my son likes it very much... No daily neivedhyam... On saraswathi poojai will make konda kadalai sundal/brown channa... On vijayadasami there will be vadai, chakkara pongal and may be one sundal...
Oops! I din't click any, was more busy gobbling it all up after the naivedyam process will try to click today and tomorrow and upload.
ingredients : vegetables: drum stick cauliflower potato carrot french beans brinjal All this vegetables are cut into small pieces are taken in all equal portions filling a big bowl. rice :1cup Tur daal:3/4 cup chick peas:1/4 cup. tamarind :small quantity. we have to soak chick peas over night. rice , daal and tamarind should be soaked for 1 hour. sambar powder:2 table spoons. for thadka: Oil or ghee: 5 table spoons mustard seeds: a pinch cumin seeds: a pinch chana daal : little quantity. curry leaves: 10 to 11 hing : a pinch dry red chilli : 2 nos. green chillis :4 nos turmeric powder: a pinch salt : to taste coriander leaves for garnish . preparation: 1.Heat the oil in a dish. Add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chana daal , hing . after add curry leaves and green chillis. 2. Add all the vegetables and cook for 5 to 6 mins. Add a pinch of turmeric powder. 3. Then add the soaked rice and tur daal. mix it well. pour sufficient water to cook. cook with lid till all the vegetables , rice and daal become soft in texture. 4.Add salt. then add the tamarind juice and sambar powder. 5. cook for another 5 min. garnish with coriander leaves. In general onions and ginger garlic pastes are also added to enhance the taste but for naivadyam we should not use them so I skipped them.
