    Poonam,
Tell me this, how did you give the banana?
Do we need to take the black seeds in the center before giving? What will be the reaction in the poops?

Pooh - I also give sweet potato only as purees. But these days, I have started saute in butter with jeera as a routine. Try it. Instead of jeera, you can try connamon etc.

Padmini - I just mashed banana with a spoon for 2-3 min until pulpy and gave it. I did not remove the black seeds. Only when I feel that it is too hard, i remove the centre part of banana.

ramya good idea, maybe should give her apple sweetpotato mash with cinnamon... :D

padmini, yeah just like ramya said, just give as is... ripe bananas mash easily and coz of the sweetness babies love it.
bananas are binding foods just like apples, carrots, so if ur baby's poop is runny it can only stiffen it. in some babies it constipates, but DD did fine with bananas post 6.5 months.

however i feel u should introduce a veggie instead, since u are already giving him applesauce... try peas/sweet potato/carrot/pumpkin... pick one :)

    Hey poonam...

TX..Am doing good. hope you and zoey are doing good now.

Thanks for your reply...I am planning to start silverspoon ragi this week. Will wait for a week to see how she does. If she takes it well, can i introduce easum/nestum next week itself?? She is 6+ months and am just starting solids(except for purees which i did 10 days back). She seems to be doing good on veg/fruit purees. Would it be too much, if i introduce 2 solids so close at this age??

Also, which is good to start with?? Ragi/Nestum??

    Hey guys

Got a pack of Barley flakes .... from an organic shop. I had no clue of cooking it, but I made it the same way as oats with apple. I did not like the smell much, but DD seemed to be ok. So another cereal .....:thumbsup

saute onions in ghee, then saute veggie puree,

ramya , arent teh veggies already pureed? the only texture is that of suji, and she is fine with it. onions blend in so well tht i hardly saw any separate pieces..since they are sauteed.
