Weight Loss Group - 2019

    I am creating this weight loss group to motivate each other in losing weight and staying fit and healthy. In this group weighing scale shall not be an important criterion, however, the more imperative criteria would be to tone the body and build muscle mass. To achieve this we shall be more inclined towards doing strength training exercises, HIIT, cardio combined with core strength workout. To start with, I am herewith sharing the exercises to be followed to achieve this goal.

    WEEK 1 (Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
    Early Morning: Start your day with a teaspoon of Triphala
    # Have some almonds the first thing in the morning

    Start with HIIT _______( Maximum strength to be used while performing the set of exercises)
    60 Ab crunches ( 3 set 20 counts each)
    60 Reverse Crunches ( 3 set 20 counts each)
    60 squats ( 3 set 20 counts each)
    Plank ( 45 seconds 3 sets)
    Rope crunch 45 seconds (3 set)
    Cross crunch 45 seconds ( 3 set)

    Finish your with 1 tsp Triphala at night.

    The first week is more a beginners week, however, following these workouts will help us all be in the best of our shape and health.

    Hi maddy,count me
    I am n my weight loss journey,wanted to be part of this .I like your concept (non scale acheivemach,an a strength training)
    I ve been doing strength since 3 months.i love it.initially I used to do cardio (treadmill etc). now I tried to make it 50percent cardio and 50percent strength.(didn't loose much but getting toned)
    We will share our thoughts and ideas

    Hi Maddy...
    I am currently doing 10- 12 mins HIIT (body rock’s boot camp workout) followed by a 30 day shred (cross training workout which involves strength with weights, body weight and cardio)...with proper diet the results are amazing, helps lose inches and tones the body.I sometimes add Leslie’s power walk to this rotation.

    Last day of boot camp and 30 day shred done today.I will be restarting another boot camp to combine it with 30 day shred.

    I'm also in weight loss/inch loss journey.
    May i know what do you mean by toning of the body, is it inch loss? I hav done only walking as exercise till now. Can i know more about strength exercise? How many inches did u manage to loose.

    Weight loss is just a preliminary to staying fit. However, strength training tones your muscle and strengths you in totality. With strength training you can be in the best shape of your life. Not only does it make you look chisled but also makes you youthful and beautiful. With strength training you can achieve flat abs, toned legs, contoured butt, lean arms and the list is endless. Apart from that, the more muscles you build the better metabolic rate you have. Which means you burn more calories even while staying static.
