Breakfast: Venn Pongal (yellow Mung dal and white rice) + lots of sambar made with variety of vegetables + 2 tbsp sweet Pongal to celebrate special event at home

Lunch: brown rice with sambar, eggplant subji

Snack 1: strawberry pineapple hemp smoothie

Snack 2: soaked hazelnuts + Brazil nuts with cucumber slices

snack 3: Airfried sweet potatoe fries

Dinner: Urad dal Vadai - a lot more than what I should have eaten

    Exercise:
    Morning: yoga - 30 mins

Water: 1.5 litre - not enough

Today, we had a special event at home, so lot of eating than usual. I feel I need to cut down on rice completely for a while - cut down any and all kinds of rice for a while to get more variety of other foods into my body. It will also help shakeup my eating habits, amount of food etc.

@gknew, I don’t use any apps to log food .. I just note it down in my phone notepad app, on the same
Page overwriting what I ate yesterday .. so I can review it at night and paste it here.

Try to have 2 dates for sugar cravings or eat one dry fruit ladoo that’s made with dates, nuts and seeds (which has no added sugar or jaggery or any kind of syrup). See If you can reduce the amount of chapathi and add a few cucumber slices to your plate.

Except chicken and Omlette rest of food items mouth watering for me. Once upon a time I was cheated to eat a piece of chicken during a picnic and Omlette I had often during my teens as I was underweight 48 kg for admission to engg college!
My max weight was 68 kg and now over the years my eating pattern and time and the quantum drastically changed and revised often that keeps my weight stable at 58.5 kg even today.

Wash and soak 2 cups of black eyed peas and 1/4th cup foxtail millet seperately for 8 hours,Drain the water from the peas and use fresh water to grind the two together with little cumin, ginger, green chilli, salt and black pepper to make dosas. No need to ferment..they taste like pesarattu/moong dal dosa. You can replace foxtail millet with oats or other millet or any rice of your choice.
