    -------
    Breakfast - A small Coffee.
    Post workout snack - Greek yogurt topped with pineapple,dry fruits and seeds.
    Lunch - Coconut pulav and pepper chicken fry.
    Dinner -Rice,chikkudikaya fry,pepper chicken fry,gongura dal.

    Breakfast: Quinoa + Channa dal curry + Eggplant Sabji

    Lunch: Brown rice + Channa dal curry + Eggplant Sabji

    Snack 1:
    One raw zucchini - with chilli powder and salt

    Snack 2:
    Soaked nuts (hazelnuts & Brazilnuts)

    Exercise:
    Morning: yoga - 45 mins ‍
    Noon : 20 min light walk
    Evening : 30 min walk

    Water: 2 litre

    Ouch: 2 chocolates at work (palm to face!) going to work in-person messes my diet as there is always some chocolate or something that trips me .. and IF I can’t resist the first one, then it’s downhill from there!

    Sprouted bread is from Costco. Silver Hills is the brand we buy.

    Homemade banana bread that I make is made with mashed bananas, almond flour, buckwheat flour, amaranth flour, baking powder, spice powders (ginger, clove, all spice), coconut oil and baked until done. No proper recipe - just approximately 4 bananas, 1 cup almond flour, 1/2 cup each of the other 2 flours, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 cup coconut oil and spices powders 1/2 to 1 tsp each ..you can also add roughly chopped and cooked apples to this which makes this bread taste really good. I didn’t put apples this time. If you add the cooked apple, reduce bananas. We are not precision bakers, We just wing it! if it’s loose batter, I add more flour or bake a bit longer .. if it’s too tight, I add a bit of water .. if I don’t have amaranth, I just make it with half and half almond flour and buckwheat flour. Sometimes I also add broken walnut pieces or frozen blueberries to this batter before baking ..

    Wow. Thanks for sharing. Looks like a nice yummy healthy bread.
    Where do we get amaranth flour and buckwheat flour,? Never used these before. Are these healthy flour options? Will read about them now.

    Breakfast- egg omelette and yogurt
    snack- orange
    Lunch- rice, chicken curry, cucumber
    Dinner- mint chicken baked and banana

    Started to watch my water intake. I am taking very less amount of water. Had only 1.3L today. So have to increase more from tomorrow. I am obese too, so watching my food and water intake very precisely.

    Walked 1.5 miles today.

    Do you all use any app to keep track you calories or food intake or exercises?

    With advancing age metabolism slows down and therefore a food exercise regimen good for one age group may not fit for another age group at higher levels. Menopause too may hv a role in weight reduction regimen.
    I recommend the book by expert Indian dietician for excellent insights . Link below helps:

    These are available in most Indian stores esp. North Indian stores.

    Buckwheat flour is kuttu ka atta. Amaranth flour is Rajgira / Rajguro ka atta. Both are very nutritious and also gluten free flours.

    Buckwheat is very high in fiber and other minerals. Amaranth is very high in protein. Gujaratis use these when they fast from regular grains and lentils and beans, esp during Navaratri.

    You can also buy them off Amazon or any most North American health food stores.

    Thanks. I will check the stores. Never used these flours before. Have to check the YouTube for the recipes and will try it.
