Let me share my meals here today, but I won't be regular in posting but will follow the diet

I have cut down coffee/tea during week days, but will enjoy during weekends at least 1 per day.

Break fast: Boiled Chick pea stir fried with little oil

Lunch: Rice, dal, vegetable curry, omlette

Dinner: 3 appams/hoppers (Sri Lankan small ones). Of these one egg appam, and the other two were plain appams with chillie paste (Sri Lankan)

Fruits: Couple of small Sri Lankan bananas during the day for fibre. They are small in size and less carb.

Is banana has carb? I thought it's only fibre. Thanks for this info. Have to learn more which fruit, meat and veggies has protein, fat and carbs.

Are you a vegetarian? If not, you can add chicken or fish to your diet. What I’m seeing is very less protein in your lunch and dinner and extreme high carbs. Potato and rice both have high carbs .. same with chapathi and potato at dinner … and also again potatoes and bread for snack.. If you are eating carbs, you have to eat some protein to bring the insulin level down. And you’ll keep on craving for food when the insulin levels crash after some time.

If you are a vegetarian, include beans, lentils, nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnut, etc) and seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, etc). It’s very important to have protein to be healthy and also, very important for weight loss.

I can understand if you are worried about bloating, you can try many digestive aids like ginger tea, coriander and pepper tea (4:1 ratio, slightly sautéed and coarsely ground and stored and make into thick decoction), add Omam into everything you make with dal or beans, add asafoetida too in everything you cook), exercise, drink kit of water, take triphala etc ..

Also, try to understand more on your intolerances… for some people, gluten (wheat and wheat products) may cause bloating … For some, it maybe dairy (milk & milk products) and for some it may be, vegetables that fall under nightshade family (potato, tomato, capsicum, brinjal, etc) for some, it may be some other thing … You can eliminating all these 3 food items (dairy, gluten and nightshade vegetables) for a month completely and then slowly reintroduce one by one - one week at a time to figure out what’s causing your bloating. These might be temporary intolerances .. and maybe due to inflammation in the stomach or intestines. I had some of these intolerances that went away after eliminating them from my diet for few years and now I can eat them.
