@gknew, I see that you eat fruits with meal, esp chicken. And again yogurt with chicken. According to food combining practice, these are complete no no, because the enzymes reuiqred to digest fruits and meat and other food are different. You can try to eat fruits separately away from any meal. Same with yogurt, it can be combined with vegetarian protein, but not animal protein. This is what I have read, you can read up more on food combining to get better idea. This could help with bloating issues as well.

Another idea is drinking herbal teas throughout the day.
    - dhaniya-pepper tea helps...
    - equal quantities of saunf, jeera, omam, black jeera, corainder. very lightly dry toast it on a pan. Powder this coaresly and keep in a bottle. make tea out of this. I also add dried mint leaves to this mixture. And I keep frozen crushed ginger in freezer and I add that too. This helps with blaoting.
    - asafetida in water also helps.
    - I think I saw in another post that you have endometriosis. (Please ignore this if I mistook you for someone else). It would be good to get an ultrasound to figure out why, if you havent done so already. I had the same problem endo with heavy bloating, cysts and fibroids. While I still have everything else, the bloating is gone. I think the herbal & homeopathy meds by naturopath at that time (6 yrs ago), took care of it. I also overhauled my diet at that time for a year or so.. to avoid any dairy, sugar, wheat. I guess both might have helped.

I think she means weight training. Are you familiar with exercises using dumbells and can do this on our own, maintaining proper form? If not, I recommend going to a gym and getting a trainer for a month or so.
If both of this won't work out, look for resistance band exercises, body weight exercises on youtube and try what works for you. Start small.

Congratulations! Losing 9 pounds is not easy, your hardwork is paying off.

Yes weight training with weights, body weight training are extremely good for fat loss.I personally love doing them especially Jillian Micheals.Best to start getting trained by a trainer at the gym to get the form right and can later switch doing the same at home.

Thanks for the suggestions for bloating and food combinations. I wasn't aware of these and will look into it.
I don't have endometriosis..I have ovarian cysts. I recently did an ultrasound to recheck that and it's still there with same size. Found it 7 months ago in a random ultrasound.

I don't know why I have this bloating. It started in July and still the same. I saw the primary physician and they gave me medicine to take it for 3 months. Did blood and stool tests. All came out negative.
I am taking the medicine before meal since August. No changes though. I saw a gastro doctor too. She said if it was ulcer, It would have been cured by now with the medicine I am taking. So she said she has to do an endoscopy and see what it looks like inside.

So that's a long wait for that procedure. Meanwhile I am trying the home remedies and diet changes along with the prescribed medicine.

Even though I am obese, tummy looks very big which never happened before. Looks like 9 months pregnant. Always heavy and looks big and huge.

When this started, I thought it could be from my cyst and immediately went to the gynecologist. She did ultrasound and cyst is in the same size 5.5cm. so she said my symptoms aren't from the cyst and told me to see the primary physician and gastro to check if it's any stomach issues. I did the circle and finally with gastro doctor.
Gastro doctor also wasn't sure what could be the reason and diagnosis. She said I might look into something else if the endoscopy comes out normal. So that's making me anxious and am debating myself if I need to do the scope or just wait and watch if it gets better.
I think I posted a query about my bloating with my picture. So it really looks huge and heavy tummy.

Are you maintaining the same BMI? Or just focusing on the WHR?

Waist to hip ratio is a better indicator of health than BMI as it mostly goes hand in hand in with body fat percentage.I focus on my inches rather than my weight.I am within a healthy BMI range and WHR.Fat is like cotton and takes more space unlike muscle which is dense and heavy like a stone. For example, two people with the same height and weight will look different, one fatter than the other. The fat person has more subcutaneous fat and less of lean muscle while the lean person has less subcutaneous fat and more muscle.Weight loss is not necessarily fat loss, its a combination of fat loss, water loss, muscle loss etc..so weight is just a number.I dont go by BMI.Inch loss is fat loss.Tracking inches is the best indicator of fat gain or fat loss.Exercise when combined with rightly portioned meals will give the best results,it also helps get rid of visceral fat. Also a proper sleep cycle is a must to achieve good health and keep all hormones in check.

I can understand… with my bloating issues (that I had with the Ovarian cysts that were very painful at that time) , I was at good weight for my BMI and slim but suddenly looked 6 months pregnant. My office colleagues often looked at my tummy with a puzzled look why I wasn’t telling them the good news! (Ugh!) I can understand how you must be feeling. Hope you able to figure this out.

Yeah.. I understand it's really awful to look like this when we are actually not pregnant.
Did you remove your cyst or it's still there ? How big was/is your cyst ?

At that time one was 5 cm and another was 6.5 cm ..one in each ovary. I didn’t remove them and chose to treat through natural medicines .. the cyst size decreased eventually and I was monitored or a while. Now, it just flares up and goes down in size and hurts once in a while depending on how much sweets/dairy I eat, how much I’m stressed. Yoga also helped. I also did acupuncture treatment and still do once in a while.
