    Dear Viswa,
    Yes,yes, My son and DIl have spoken a lot about it.In Chennai especially the Aadi Discount Sales ( July 15-Aug 15) is just a farce.We cannot even walk in and around T. Nagar. in Chennai.I don't know whether it is worth snailing through the crowd, select the product we desire.Yet there is this mania.

    Wow awesome conclusion...actually not a conclusion but a commencement of being Free of thoughts in the minds of those who read. Very good snippet, loved it, very true though they say free or is on sale the price is hidden elsewhere, and we pay for it unknowingly!

    In all the free things, price amount is latent.Though every one knows, there is some alpa santhosham in getting something free.
    How nice it will be if our minds are free!

    How true! Of course, the ailment does not affect only Indians. It is the same the world over. In fact, didn't the concept of buy one get one free enter our markets from chains in the West? The fact that they have these offers there stands testimony to the universal joy felt in getting something 'free of charge'. Of course it is also a widely known fact that 'there is nothing such as a free lunch'. Everyone knows that they are paying for it in one way or the other, but of course the word 'free' is always attractive. :-D

    Dear Satchitananda,
    The concept of'Free' seems to give some cheap pleasure though in out heart of hearts we know that the price is hidden. The business community takes advantage of this psychology and prospers in reality. Customers are happy with fake contentment.
