    HI:
Water problem in North Bangalore is common in summer. In my opinion, no locality is better than the other in that case. Having said that, Yelahanka will probably have more of a scarcity than the others mentioned.

However, if you live in apartments, this is taken care of collectively by the apartment association, and therefore less of a worry. By the same logic electricity is not a worry if the apartment has generator facility.

Hi Friends, we are soon moving to Bangalore. I have been following news from Bangalore and recently there was a report on severe shortage in water supply in many parts in Bangalore. The news also stated that many apartments which supply borewell water have run dry too.

Can you please suggest apartments where water supply is good and they have plans for future too in case there supply rns low.

I have also heard that drinking water is very expensive in Bangalore is that true? Do you all buy drinking water or use a filtration system at home to convert tap water into drinking water? Please share. Thank you.

    Hi Nithya,
Most of the bore wells are drying up, so when purchasing a flat its better to check whether they have got Kaveri connection. Most of the apartments have a pipe in kitchen with kaveri water. And water supply is mainly from tankers. Their cost goes up to 750/- 1000/- during summer.
Before we used to buy can for drinking water, it costs from 35-60 for different brands. Like normal one in our area costs 40 and Bisleri 60etc. But now we use Kaveri water filtered and boiled for drinking. It took some days though to get used to that taste.
