want remedy for indigestion

    First and foremost if a person has weak digestive system, the food taken should be cooked sufficinet enough to ease the process

    Next comes chewing. Never eat in hurry. If you make your teeth work less, naturally your stomach wil not tolerate that overload of work for long. Take sufficient time and let your toungue feel, let your brain realise and then command you to swallow. While you chew, the action makes the salaiva glands to secrete the salaiva which is very important in aiding digestion process.

    While eating, keep 1/2 glass of water. take a sip in between. (some say one should not drink water while eating. but for those who have indegestion doctors do recommend to take water while eating.). But don't drink water just before your food or immediately after food.

    According to your activity, decide what kind of food you need to take. Restrict fatty substances e.g. cheese based, butter based, cream based etc. (strict 'no' at nights). Instead of curd, have diluted buttermilk.

    Jeera, ginger (dry as well as fresh), pepper are good for digestion. Hence you can mix in jaljira masala in a glass of diluted buttermilk or water and drink.

    Never lie down immediately after taking food. walk slowly for sometime. for atleast two hours be awake and do some activity (but make sure you take sufficient break to have few walks in between).

    While lying down, sleep turning to your left side. this will aid digestion and also prevent acid reflux.

    Excellent advice Mimur9 - can I just add to that with just one more useful tip.

    To avoid feeling bloated and heavy, never ever drink ice water or any kind of cold drink with your meals - it slows down the digestive process.

    37° Celsius ( typical body temp ) is said to be ideal for digestive enzyme functioning.

    So always remember, if you're really thirsty, drink tepid ( room temp ) water - it helps to digest your food easier.

    That is a very important tip Radiantflower. Many does open the fridge and drink cold water. (that is why I never keep water in fridge :p :) ). Cold water is not good in any season.

    Just have a teaspoon full of castor oil before sleep. Am sure it cure indigestion problems

    A glass of water with 2 Tbsp. of apple cider vinegar is very good for indigestion.

    never sleep immediately after food.just sit for half and hour atleast .....
    Have lots of fibre rich food,water,fruits,nuts,raisins
    Remember what u input is what u are...

    Another very effective remedy is - Take a teaspoon of carom seeds and wash it with water 3-4 times and keep it in a small bowl. Boil some water and add it to the washed seeds and cover it, after 3-4 hrs drink it. If you don't have that much time you can chew it also. I have tried it on my family members and their indigestion problem was cured by it.

    Yes lemon is very good one for digestion and having one glass luke warm water on empty stomach evey morning helps a lot. Eating one ripe banana
