Visit to Tokyo

    Hi Ilites,

    I'm Subha presently staying in S'pore & i'm a house wife.

    My husband has 2 weeks business assignment in tokyo ,so we are planning to visit tokyo by next month.

    I dont know which area in tokyo we will be staying, can anyone please help us find some restaurants serving veg food ( we are vegetarians),also i have 10 month old baby gal & im very much worried about getting baby food for her.Is there any indian store tht can sell baby food like cerelac which i can buy in tokyo ?

    Also let me know about the transport for commute & is there any good places in & around tokyo to visit ?

    Last but not the least which item is worth buying in japan (electronic goods or cosmetics or chocolates what is ur suggestions on this. I would like to purchase something as a rememberance of visiting japan so pls suggest me something & also whr to buy them.

    This website contains list of vegeterian restaurant in Tokyo.

    People speak less English so you might want to write down a translated statement of explaining vegeterian food in Japanese script from your husband's colleagues there. Thats what I did.

    I remember seeing Indian restaurants (mostly north Indian style food).

    check tripadvisor website for places to visit in Tokyo.

    I survived by eating in 'Subway Sandwich Bars' where you have better control over choosing what goes inside the bread. I am not sure whether you have tried it before.

    Japan is a lovely country with wonderful people. Enjoy to the fullest. I am going again in the very near future ;)
