    Virtual World and Slow IL

The virtual world means a lot today, and we realised it when it became difficult to log into IL. It prompted me to write this snippet. Hope friends will enjoy.

Today, we are virtually connected with the world. We have virtual money, virtual communication and, of course, virtual relationships. We are virtual friends on Facebook, virtual members on social networks and sometimes virtual spouses and parents.

The word 'virtual' relates to invisible experience.

Our religious belief is an experience of an invisible power called God in different names.

That which is not visible is uncertain to those who have no personal experience through meditation. It remains abstract.

Virtual comes from the word virtue, meaning high moral standards. Its opposite, vice, means low ethical standards. Both are in the mind and experience only, like God. Who decides those moral standards in the first place?

We live in a virtual world of religion and God, relatives and friends, virtues and vices. The only way to live in the real world is by experiencing each of them by making them visible.

That which is not visible and experience is only in our mind called virtual.

Supreme love is formless! Isn't it immeasurable when someone who is unknown being shared with wisdom from someone unknown with no expectations? It elevates, in my opinion, to highest level of virtue. Right or wrong, we have built an excellent virtual relationship with each other and when we miss it due to technical difficulties, it creates a level of stress. But at the end, it is working well now and we are back in action. Let us all seek help from virtual friends when we need it and let us all share our life experiences that could be helpful to someone unknown.

"Instead of trying to see God in the stone, see the stone as God and God would become visible", said a Guru. It is like a scupltor making a statue of Krishna from a stone by removing everything that is not Krishna. The objective in our virtual interaction should be driven by a) love for a fellow being, b) helping a person in need, and c) accepting our faults without any hestiation and apologize, if we have accidentally hurt someone. We must see ourselves in others. Our mission is not to find fault with others but to treat everyone as one of our extended family.

Many of what I said above exist in this wonderful forum which is why we miss it dearly when it is offline.

Thanks, Shri Viswa. We have been living in the virtual world for almost two decades now. There are still groups- laughter groups, Yoga groups- in the real world, like morning or evening walkers, but
    that too, is missing now.
In the virtual world, some groups have also become dormant for various reasons, one of which is the increased number of inactive members or simply lurkers.
All said and done, such groups are the only hope for assimilation.
