Hello dears... We had an opportunity to host for a luncheon for a Russian today at our place. So made the items to his choice : (1) Lemon Rice (2) Rajma gravy (3) Semiya Upma (He told us that he like South Indian upma varieties) (4) Carrot raita (5) Ulundu appalam And for the dessert... we gave him Strawberry ice cream !

Hey folks, Weeks before, we were invited to cook for 35 + colleagues of my Hubby. As they want something different from their routine (Bread/Pizza) that day, they requested us whether we can cook and teach them Indian food.So we gave their Admin people a list of Vegetarian Menu . They selected 6 items from the list. We made...... Peas Pulav, Paneer-Simla mirch Masala, Potato-Onion curry, Samosa (baked in oven - not deep fried in Oil ) and had with Khakra. Also, we served them dessert - Rajbogh. So it was a meat free day, but in addition, it was Fat free day too !!!! Also, we were happy that our menu was covering all parts of India. (East/West/North/South !! As I mentioned, his colleagues are from America/France/Italy/Denmark/Philippines... and many other countries, but not one is from India... It was a nice experience for us too !!
Forgot about the dessert we served them !! :thumbsup P.S : Khakra, Rajbogh are bought from Indian stores... I did not make it !!

There was a charity donation to indian orphanage children, conducted in september, and i wanted to participate and collect money to help them in a small way...... i never participated in any such kind before nor i prepared that huge qty, so my husband was a bit worried ,but at end of the day everything went well:thumbsup i prepared 170 idli's,150 kaaja's, 3 kilos of mixture,4 kilos of tamarind rice ,raita and my friend prepared 75 veg puffs,25 egg puffs sambar ,peanuts chutney appadams and kesari..... it was 4 days effort and almost everything got sold out by evening 5pm except few puffs and little mixture....... SEE AND NJOY......................:thankyou2:
