Deepam - avali at my dwelling :))

Beyond seas - in a home in manassas , virginia - a seemingly normal friday - a weekday - school day , office day ...so no temple visit and no fire crackers .....
i was not feeling much well....still i made omma podi (my daughter's fav "RARE" snack item) and pottukadalai urundai and 30 veg puffs for my husband's office party(sorry , no photo on that) and to make my daughter realise and understand the true spirit of deepavali ...i lit diyas , kept the christmas tree lights on (from navaratri golu) .Prior to this day i explained the meaning of diwali and she heard the stories surrounding the celebration .
As for the new outfit ..i got her a new pajama ...which she could wear comfortably all day and night long :) .the tea-light holder diya was made my her using clay .
simple , happy day - simply happy !
    thank you , god !
thank you IL , for letting me record my day here in orange :)

Vijayasampath...What a great idea to name them as "chit'swish" sweets. What better name can be given than the name of a an experienced lady who readily shares her recipes with all of us...Really very impressive dear..!!

Wishing all the best to all participants...!!!
