Thanks so much for the cake recipe Anjana. I will halve the recipe and try as 4 eggs is too much for us, 'cos my hubby & I don't eat eggs. Only for kids, will do the cake with 2 eggs. Will try it out this weekend. Thanks, Divya.
deeps and anu - this is the recipe I tried for Biriyani. I made the gravy and rice separately and then layered it and baked it in the oven for like 20 mts Priya's Feast: Ancient Biryani or Dindigul Thalapakatti Biryani
Anjana ur Briyani seems very nice. In the link the procedure also seems easy let me try next weekend my hubby a briyani fan and that too old versions.
I make mine with vegetable koftas, and layers and it is a party hit among husband's colleagues..and i bake it in the oven. if i am at a place where i don't have one..i cook it on stove top..i keep a old tava..and keep the dish wellsealed over the heated tava..and sim and cook it for another 20/30 minutes.. the aroma of this biriyani is awesome.. and manju you have perfected the plaits and the glaze...
