    Respected Viswa Sir,

Thank you so much for your kind words.

I am not a scholar or any person of that category to claim I know it all.I am myself in the process of learning.
But I will be happy if at any point you have any query and I will be able to answer it.

    Today's Verse :

Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his own-self. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear another's burden. And WE never punish until WE have sent a Messenger.

Dear Kkrish,Thank you so much for asking.

This aayah (verse of Quran) is depicting the mindset of people during pre-Islamic era in the Arab tribes. They liked to have boys but considered girl child a bad omen and a dishonor. So much so that they were ashamed and it was a humiliation for them that they became father of a girl. So, Baby girls used to be buried alive as soon as they were born and some were buried or killed even after they were a little older.

So in this aayah, Almighty God is speaking about such people…

“And when the news of the birth of a female child is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief! He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that whereof he has been informed. Shall he keep her with dishonor or bury her in the earth? Certainly, evil is their decision.
or those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description, and for Allah is the highest description. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 16:58-60

In another chapter of the Quran, talking about the “Day of Resurrection”, God says:

And when the girl [who was] buried alive shall be asked

For what sin she was killed? 81:8-9

I hope it is clear now.

Though personally speaking, I feel many of us are still living in that ignorance and arrogance. I know about many people who still belong to this category that “when the news of the birth of a female child is brought to any of them, his face becomes dark, and he is filled with inward grief!

Thank you once again and please do ask if at any point you feel so. I will be glad if I will be able to answer.

    regards,
    Yumna
