    A) having tea, coffee, chocalates affects in proper absorbtion of iron . so avoid caffein foods/beverage
    b) For improving iron content in heamoglobin we can eat dry fruits, beetroot , dates, green leafy vegetables.
    C) having vitamin c rich food improves iron absorbtion by our body. eg if u eat few dates have orange /mosambi juice also together or immediately after u eat dates have orange juice/fruit as it is.

    Hi!

Also make sure not to take dairy products(curd or milk) along with spinach or dates. These reduce iron absorption from these. You can take milk or curd after a couple of hours or so. Lentils, any form of dried beans- soaked and cooked, tofu(paneer from Soy milk) are all good sources.

    Dear Op,

I am also diagnosed with Anemia, B12 def..etc recently. I don't know how bad yours is but I started taking Tablets and adding spinach to almost everything (I add lil oil and fry the spinach and it becomes like a paste and I add this paste to all most everything.

Making Chole and Rajma curry once in a week definetly helps.

also beans and all green leafy stuff.

Like nemesis said, Ragi and also add prunes to your diet. Have 3-4 prunes everyday just like any other dried fruit. It is very very high in iron and will help in regulating your bowels. Take care not to have too many at once as they can cause loose bowel movements too.
