    1. 46*44= 20/24
    2. 77*73= 56/21
    3. 112*118= 11*12/16 = 2/02/16
    4. 129*121= 12*13/09 = 2/06/09
    5. 98*92= 90/16
    6. 53*57= 30/21
    7. 102*108=(concider 10 as final digit so final part is ( 10*11) = 10*11/16 = 2/00/16
    8. 68*62= 42/16
    9. 59*51= 30/09
    10. 52*58= 30/16

    That took me a bit leaser than 3 mins, to solve them all!
    But I am NOT sure if they are correct :shaking:.

    Okay! I just verified it with the calculator, and I made all the 3 digit multiplications worng! :bonk

    Ah! now I get it!
    I tried to apply the same multiplicatiion rule for 10 * 11! Ha - the end digits should add up to 10 along with the condition that the first part should be the same!:bonk

    Sorry maam, I will correct these
    112*118= 11*12/16 = 132/16
    129*121= 12*13/09 = 1/1*3 + 1*2/2*3/09 = 1/5/6/09
    102*108=(concider 10 as final digit so final part is ( 10*11) = 10*11/16 = 110/16

    I will also verify them myself with the calculator -
    Ha ha ha ha ha ha :bananaI got the correct this time! Thanks dear for the rule!

    Rule to multiplying a number by 11 to 19

    Until ramshree returns, I will try giving my learnings ..

    This is the simple vedic maths trick to multiply any number by numbers 11 to 19

    e.g 327 x 11

    1) Put a 0 before the number you want to multiply
    Thus, we have 0327 x 11

    2) Multiply each digit of the multiplied to the digit at the units place of the nmber (11 - 19) and add to it the successive digits in the multiplier number.

    Statring from units place of multiplier
    (7x1) + 0 = 7 (because there is no number follwing 7)
    (2x1) + 7 = 9 (in number 327, 7 follows 2)
    (3x1) + 2 = 5
    (0x1) + 3 = 3

    ------------------------------
    Answer is = 3597

    Its going to be fun working with you.:cheers
    after a year long hard working days we went to our native place. It was cool indeed. Green fields, clear sky ,chriping of birds ,pure milk and food. It was fun. but now here my home looking like:boo:.
    now I am reorganizing my routine. from monday onwards I will write new methods.

    I really like the way u attempted the qus.:hatsoff we give 20 seconds to attempt one cal.So your speed is also good enought.

    Ah! ramshree .. I was begining to miss you...
    Nice to see you are back from the wonderful native place you just described (I loved the pure milk and food part the best -- :crazy - I am foodie you know), but really I am sure you have some relaxed and peacful time there.

    So, I am waiting for your new rules, and hope i keep revising the old ones or i will forget them!:bonk

    :oops: SORRY I AM LITTLE LATE FOR THE POST.
    Fine! let's go through your post for the mutiplication by 11-19
    As you know v.m. is base on 16 sutras .




    So the sutras applied here are
    1. ONLY THE LAST TWO DIGITS.
    2. FINAL DIGIT OF MULTIPLICAND +SUCCESIVE DIGIT OF IT.
    OR
    FINAL DIGIT OF MULTIPLICAND +SUCCESIVE DIGIT OF MULTIPLIER x UNIT DIGIT OF MULTIPLIER.




    Go through this!
    1. 1234*11=
    2. 23145*11=
    3. 25431*11=
    4. 51427*11=
    5. 7145235*11=
    6. 567*11= (add the carry over to the succesive digts only.)
    7. 65873*11=
    8. 9476586*11=
    9. 326579*11=
    10. 38*11=
    I need 2 min. to solve these and want to reduce it to 1 min.What about you all?

    Some basic concepts.
    0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are known as digits.
    10,100,1000,10,000,.........are known as base numbers.
    9 is the base number for digits.
    7 and 2 are the compliments of each other for digit 9 (7+2=9)
    8 and1 are the compliments of each other for digit 9 (8+1=9)
    6 and 3 are the compliments of each other for digit 9 (7+2=9)
    5 and 4 are the compliments of each other for digit 9 (7+2=9)


    for base 10
    9 and 1 are the compliments of each other (9+1=10)
    8 and 2 are the compliments of each other (8+2=10)
    7 and 3 are the compliments of each other (7+3=10)
    6 and4 are the compliments of each other (6+4=10)
    what are the compliments of base 100?
