Our varsha pirappu meals was as follows Rice Mango rice Mango pacchadi Vendakka morkuzhambu Capsicum sambhar Veppampoo rasam Urulai karamadhu Carrot cucumber kosamalli Paruppu vadai Poli All this was completed with thair sadham, which is not in the pic.... As usual all the festive recipes were no onion and no garlic recipes.
Is there a reason for no onion/garlic tradition ? Very nice picture. Such a lot of labour would have gone into that preparation. Shows the happiness in a home. We must have a tradition of honoring the chef/server.
நன்றி. Sumptuous! In All 11 items. All vicarious yet mouth watering satisfied viewing complete meal that concludes with heavenly curd rice with thadka included asafoetita. Regards.
Thank you for Thank you for those kind words. Amma says that both onion ans garlic were avoided on festive days because there was some story which says that it was came from the body of the planets rahu and ketu. Plus, it is considered as tamasic food.... Honoring the chef is, when my family enjoys my food... Nothing beats a home cooked food
