Dear friends, we all now know that Sridhar completed a book in 10 days, on Obama. That book and another book, AZHAGE UNNAI AARADHIKKIREN, have been published recently and are available in the stalls of the Kavitha Publications (Stall No. 304,305) and Dhanalakshmi Publications (Stall No. 361). I had been there yesterday. Here are some photos for all of you who could not be there in person. CONGRATULATIONS, SRIDHAR. And the person wearing spectacles is none other than, MARIMUTHU, of ASL. He was so happy to see Varalotti sir's friend and ILiite. He had all praises for Sridhar and pointed out the editorial, giving full credit to Sridhar for the hardwork he put in writing a book on Obama in such a short time. Marimuthu himself is soft spoken and humble. I enjoyed talking to him. Those who go to the Fair, do talk to MarimuthuSridhar, I hope that next year you are compelled to come to the Fair, to receive some accolade or other and we Chennai ILiites would have that honour of being there. Amen!
Dear Varloo, Thanks for bringing the book fair before our eyes...including Mr. Marimuthu. Sridhar is rocking...so many more feathers are now adorning his cap. Dear LS, thanks, I usually do visit 2 times. Last year, I met Malathi Jagar there. It is so nice to see so many books together. I see that every year parents bringing children is increasing. Yesterday, one 10 year old was begging her mother 'at least get me one book from this stall mummu. You are not buying any books for me'. I felt so happy. Books are our friends and when we read, we concentrate and grasp and then think it over. All should develop the habit of reading.

Dear Varloo, Lets have the title as "Varloo In Chennai Book Fair". You know I have started to looking forward to your thread as much as the book fair itself. And thanks for the kind words. More than that thanks for bringing in my friend Mr. Marimuthu's picture here. Many a time my motivation to write is to earn words of praise from a discerning Marimuthu. Out of my love and regards for him I made him a character in ALS A Love Story. In that story Marimuthu is much older than Arun the hero. But he is actually younger to me by a few years. He lives a happy and a contented life with his wife and two daughters, Gayathri and Aishwarya (the latter is just two years old) in Chennai. I could not come for this book fair because I have to come again by the first week of february. The last time I visited the book fair was in 2007. Let me try to be there in 2010, if God willing.
