Varalotti Speaks At the Madurai Book Festival

    Dear ILites,
    Since 2006 Madurai City has been having an annual book fair organised by the Book Sellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI).

    This is the fifth year of this well-attended event in the city. And this time I have been given the honour of addressing the gathering at Tamukkam Grounds on the subject of Books.

    The date is tomorrow - 3rd September and the time around 6 30.

    And the beauty is that I have been lined up with great names in the industry like Professor Abdul Samadhu and Professor Pazha.Muthappan.

    As usual I have chosen the romantic lines from a love song where the lover sees his beloved as a new book and imagines himself as the reader.

    Yes, the topic, is புத்தம் புதிய புத்தகமே
    (Oh, the newest of new books!)

    I am enclosing the copy of the invite. I will be grateful if you can attend the function with friends and family.

    Even if you can't come please send your wishes, prayers and blessings across to me. I so very badly need them to live up to the confidence reposed in me by these people.

    yet my publisher who has so much confidence in me that he has put in his weight and has got this slot for me. I don't want to let him down.
