    Hi Kamla,

    I was thinking in English, the translated version, since even the english lyrics(direct trans. of sansrit to english is tricky) and I do not want to mis- pronounce the words!
    Also is it okay to continue with the reading if I get my periods in betw.? Or should I just wait and start the reading only after my periods?

    Please help!

    Can we continue reading Valmiki's Sundara Kaandam if we get our periods?

    Hi,

    To all the senior Ilites here - I am intending to start reading of the Sundara Kandam, and I was wondering, what if I get my periods then? Should I stop reading?
    Do u think its better I start Sundara kaandam, after I finish my periods?

    Waiting eagerly for an answer!

    Dear ANK,
    Regarding to your question above, usually we don't read Sundara Kandam during the periods...

    If it near..wait for the periods and then start..
    If it comes in the middle of reading..stop and mark the chapter and then continue reading after the periods (i.e.,) on the 5th day from the next chapter on...

    Hi Sriniketan,

    Thanks for the reply! been waiting to hear from someone!
    Well, I was told to start reading on a friday and finish the next friday.
    So I thought of starting tomorrow, I might get my periods by 21 or 21st, hence the doubt!
    Do u think I shld. just finish with the period and then start?

    I had posted the question abt. reading it in English also, no one has answered my question though! I find the sanskrit to English translation also very difficult to pronounce, so I will be reading it in English, that is the translation of each verse from sanskrit to English language, hope god will accept it! Is this ok?
