Also, I think my periods stopped now.. But after passing urine I see some strains of blood in my tissue paper.. is this normal ? or am I having periods still? Am confused... Yet to go for post partum appointment

    Hi Anitha,

After 3 weeks the stitches will get healed and if healed they will remove the stitches and then you can do some kegel exercise to flex the vagina. On the stitches I applied calendula and hot seiths till removed. It will be a big relief once the stitches are removed.

Anitha little bit spotting will be there on and off. Here in India we have balant kada - 3 bottles which cleans the tummy and gets the uterus back to normal. You still need to tie your tummy with a cotton saree and post pregnancy waist belt to reduce the tummy. I used cotton pads till two months and the massage lady did massage my tummy for the bad blood to go out of the body.

    Anitha:
Compresses of witch hazel tincture are really helpful on the stitches. You can get it in bottles in any drug store in USA. Don't be going to gym until the doctor gives permission please.

Your baby is so cute...thanks for posting the pic and congrats!

Tucks which is sold for relieving the stitches and also can be used on hemmorhoids has the active ingredient of witch hazel. It reduces swelling and pain both areas. If you buy witch hazel in the bottle it is much cheaper than buying Tucks. It is an herbal product.
