    Hi Soumya,

Bissel is a good brand to buy. I am currently using CleanView Revolution Vacuum in my home. Vaccum cleaners come of various price ranges. You can also check out in the local garage sales.

There are hundreds of models around. Look everywhere, compare prices and features.
We had a Eureka true clean vacuum but it broke in 2 years. I thought it was doing a good job until we got the new Hoover Whisper from walmart. My God, this one is awesome. Now, I truly believe you get what you pay for - seriously! (Yea, and real higher priced vacuums would be much much better than this Hoover whisper, I know)

I have a Kirby which last for decades. It pays to get one used but refurbished so you don't have to pay for a new one (which can cost $2000 new). It has all the attachments including a rug and furniture shampooer, and a floor wax buffer. I had a 1969 which I had had for years but without all the attachments and I turned it in probably 14 yrs ago for the one I have now. It was one year old at the time and I paid $150 with the trade in. It had sold new for $1600. They are always fixable and they have power.

    Hi Soumya,

Yes Dyson is a slick vacuum (easy maneuver) and a very powerful one too. They are little bit pricey though. The Dyson animal vacuum is their best model and it goes for something like $400-$500.
