    ***Shravana masa special***

    Kadabu:

    Ingredients:

Gram dal (chana dal)- 1 cup
    Jaggery- 1/2 cup
    Elaichi- powdered- 2 sp
    Kaju, pieces- handful
    Dry grapes (kishmish)
    Oil to fry
    Maida flour/ wheat flour
    Water
    Sugar - 1/4 cup
    ghee

    Method:

    Stuff:
In a cooker, cook chana dal for at least 20 mins. Take off the excess water in dal after cooking. (store this water , it canbe utilised to prepare kattin saaru* or can be consumed just like that adding salt and lemon juice- its very nutritious).
Mix the jaggery with cooked dal and mix well. Put it in mixie and make a fine paste. Please note, there should not be any water left in dal. Pu this stuff in a bowl. Add sugar to it, mix well.
Make a dough frommaida/ wheat floue by adding enough water and 1 sp sugar, and 2-3 sp oil in it. Keep it for 15 mins. Later, make small puris from the dough. Stuff the above sweet stuff in to pooris and close them with the help of the hands.Make sure nowere it is open, so that the stuff doesn't come out when deep frying.
Put oil into a deep frying pan and deep fry the kadubus til golden brown.

When serving, make a small hole from your finger in the middle of kadabu, and pour ghee in it.

*Kattin saaru: will post the recipe soon
