    Hello,

Holi is just around the cornor and I want to make gujiya. In india we used to make khoa with milk in home. In usa the milk is so thin. Store brought khoa doesn't give good taste.. Does any body knows how to make khoa at home in USA. I tried even with whole milk but very less khoa and lot of time ...

    any substitute ideas ?

I think I am going to stick with store brought frozen khoya...

yes it's not that tasty...but then something is better than nothing... I know the fresh khoya in India is soo yumm..mom makes gujiya's out of them...I am also planning to make gujiyas for Holi...never tried making khoya at home..I feel the milk that we get in US...it wouldn't be possible to get that good khoya anyway...so better stick to the store one!
