usa born child staying abroad.

    Hi,
    I am planning to send my DD to my country, for few years till she is good to come here for her Pre-K. I am on student status, so its difficult for me to take care of my DD and the expenses together, also her grand parents r willing too take care of her. How long can she stay there? is there any formalities i have to do while she stays there?
    Opinions and suggestion r appreciated.

    By your country I am assuming you mean India. Does your child have OCI or PIO? If staying in India for more than 180 days while holding PIO, then registration with local (India) police authorities is required.
