I guess you have to chk what are the rules/conditions to open an account and how much is the trading fee or cost per trade, and what other features they are offering. might be going through those banks websites and demat account information would give you more insight.

Vidhya, I missed my sale too :-(

I read from WSJ that this plan would still weaken the already fragile economy.

God only knows what goes on in this great man's brains. :rant

    Hi Vidya,
I was referring online trading sites. I found out that zecco is charging less for trading than scottrade and ameritrade.

I have not heard about ZECCO dear! however lot of my friends trade with AMERITRADE. I have SCOTTRADE account...I guess take some time and try to see what is the diff. and what are their offers etc.

I have enrolled in Scottrade as few of my relatives were trading from that site..AMERITRADE offers some 100 trades or so free I guess!! just chk what are the offers...finally the trading fee is what matters i guess

    Hi Vidya,
Thanks for the reply. I'll search for some more time. Yes for the beginners like me, the free trading gives some practice.

If you have BofA account, you can open a free trading a/c.

I use e-trade. Theirs is a flat rate fee ($10)
