hi all please let me know soon some good jewellery shops in cbe who have latest designs. i saw some shops in chennai & felt good to buy. but some say check out in cbe also. do cbe shops has good designs tha chennai shops? heard in cbe only jewells are made & sent to chennai..is it so please advice
Hi Suganya, I prefer Alukkas and Kalyan. I feel that the Kalyan jewels are brighter than other ones, and Alukkas has been my first choice in designs that help u to take a quick decision Other good ones are Kirtilal Kalidas and Sri Kumaran thanga maaligai . In kumarans they are strict with rates but give good and durable ones. I am from a place near CBE and I feel that designs here are pretty much good. Yes a lot of dress n jewellery is made in cbe n sent to chennai. Its true! If u wanna purchase for WEdding then go to kumrans or kirtilal's first. More trendy design oriented ppl can check Kalyan & ALukkas.
Dear Suganya, Kirthilal and Kalidas in cbe is one of the best jewellery shop you can trust. My bangles I purchased in 1977 is stll sturdy and strong in all aspect when compared to the other jewels I purchased in some other shops in the recent years. Nambi vangalam. All the best.
Diamond quality is best with kirtilal kalidas, but u wont get trendy collections there.. if u are gonna select traditional , they go for KK, else alukkas , malabar etc,... @lalithavennkat, u r saying the ornament( i suppose its gold) u bought on 1977 is " sturdy and strong" , let me tell u something, Gold is very weak metal, that is the reason why the ornaments are made by 22k than 24k, u r saying ur ornament is more strong means, it has more copper/silver/alloy than gold,so it has to be < 22k..... so when it comes to gold jewellery , the one which breaks easily is more pure... Just an info...
Dear IL readers beware of JOYALUKKAS JEWELLARY as one of my friend in Dubai told me when he was trying to sell some of his Jewllary ornaments (BOUGHT AT DUBAI JOY ALUKKAS SHOPS) in india, some of the other shops are offered very low market rates (Normally Dubai gold will fetch best rates)as the ornaments was made by indian Gold.
