I wasn't your childhood friend, nor your schoolmate, And the years between us create a divide. Yet, what binds our hearts in a gentle embrace Is the compassion we share, our love for the wild. In every wagging tail and soft, pleading eyes, A common thread weaves our souls into one. You never let age cast a shadow of doubt; In your loyal presence, I found the sun. Though different paths may have shaped our days, Together we walk, united by grace. In the language of kindness, we find our way— Two hearts connected, in harmony's place. Today your soul departed, yet you linger near, In the bond we forged through compassion, so clear. Our shared mission to save the helpless and small, Reminds me of you, even as I feel the fall. I miss you, my friend, in your absence I ache, For true friendship remains, a connection unshake. Though I cannot see you, your spirit shines bright, In every creature we save, you’re my guiding light Today we are named with unique friendship in this world. Regards Ratna
Dear Ratna, Your poetry has improved a lot, and the last few, including this one, are of the first water. You should seriously thinking of publishing your work.

Hello @Tamrakshar Your comment made me feel like I am walking on air. I'm thrilled to bits to hear that I should start my publication! Thank you for your appreciation and admiration. Please keep reading my posts and give me your feedback. Regards Ratna
Hello @Thyagarajan Sir After my friendship with Wordsmith, I was inspired to weave threads of words like a garland of flowers, enhancing the fragrance and adding more color. Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. Regards Ratna
Yes, I completely agree with Ratna that Tiagarajan is a wordsmith. He works extremely hard in his smithy ( you can witnesses his presence here from dawn to dusk, at least, if not more). But today, he has produced a word from his smithery that has almost knocked me down: "zigma". I have consulted Merriam-Webster, and also searched the web for this freak word, but to no anvil. Dear Wordsmith, if you are reading this, Sir, will you be kind enough to explain the meaning of this word and oblige?
@Tamrakshar, I too had doubt, initially I thought it's typo, but repeatedly reading I understood in context with next word, it means combination of emotions. I just guessed it,lets see what our wordsmith @Thyagarajan sir replies to it. Regards Ratna
Rm and @Tamrakshar Sorry that my usage of zigma caused a bit out of place in my previous FB here. Sigma (greek letter assymbol) initially used to indicate sum total of set of numbers in maths and statistics.in american books sigms used to indicate the sum total of feelings opinions tools etc. There is a book written by automobile industry top man titled as 6 sigma indicating the 6 values of diligent applications yields victory or goal attainment et al. I used it in the same sense RM had expressed it in her foregoing post.
