Hi everybody, I would like to create a thread that can serve as a repository for all the things that I love in life, things that stimulate my senses and give me sensory pleasure. These can include books, TV, film, music, architecture, people, products, ideas, services, websites, concepts, fine homes and thought-provoking articles and essays. I like living well and I want to collate and share things that make life easier, pleasanter and more enjoyable. I want to share things that are useful. You may have come across many of the things that I am about to share in my previous posts. I am always looking for an excuse to share what I love with others and if somebody's query was even mildly relevant, I would share what I liked. I have now decided to be pro-active and share my likes and dislikes without anybody asking . I would like to inaugurate this thread by sharing some of my favourite books. My other likes shall follow. Since only five images are allowed per message, I shall break my list of favourite books into two or three parts. Here is the first. My Favourite Books (Part I): 1) An Area of Darkness by V.S. Naipaul 2) Thy Hand, Great Anarch! India: 1921-1952 by Nirad Chaudhuri 3) The Continent of Circe by Nirad Chaudhuri 4) Cuckold by Kiran Nagarkar 5) My Secret Life by "Walter" I hope you find this list useful. Please let me know if you are interested in discussing any of these books or authors.

Let me guess , in the food category, Op loves meal replacement options & is fiercely protective, loyal, convinced about a brand that goes by the name Soylent, correct?
Haha! I knew this was coming. Actually, I love the concept of meal replacement for which I use "Soylent" as a catch-all term, just as we say "Xerox" for photocopying.
One of the most sublime songs I have ever heard. The singer, Atullya Singh, removed it from his YouTube Channel because he has stopped singing Hindi songs and now only sings Western songs. So, I uploaded it to YouTube so that it may be enjoyed by others, not just me. This is the singer's original composition. His parents chose a suitable name for him. He really is Atullya. The fellow playing the guitar, Manish, also does a marvellous job.
I love Seinfeld ( who doesn't ?) and breaking bad ( mainly for Bryan Cranston ) .Have you checked out the prequel to BB , Better Call Saul ? I caught up on the first season and absolutely loved it . Bryan Cranston has been my fav since his "Malcolm in the middle " days .
