U.S Passport renewal for Minors procedures &required documents

Hi friends,

Can you please share your experience and knowledge on U.S passport renewal for Minors procedure and required documents?

Also i heard that we can do at our local post office by taking appointment, does anyone gone through this process for renewal?

We applied at local post office while we applied passport,but no idea about renewal.

When my passport expired a few years ago, I did all the necessary paper work at the county clerk's office. They had photo taking availability also. Just mentioning as you might find going to the clerk easier if you have a number of steps.

There is no "renewal" for children's passports. A fresh passport is issued every 5 years. So you will have to follow the exact same procedure as you did for the original passport...birth certificate, both parents have to be present at the time of application, checks etc. If you go to the post office and ask for a form, it will give you all the details. It is actually a very easy and painless process.

Before posting i did some 1 hour research, i was confussing with term applying new passport and renewal...after reading your post, its very clear.
