Acetaminophen May Be Linked to Asthma Risk

Interesting that tylenol, acetaminophen/paracetamol has a greater correlation to asthma than Ibuprofen (which I have been told all my life to stay away from as it could trigger my asthma flare up?)
Any thoughts. We usually try not to medicate fevers less than 101, sometimes even wait till it is 102 before popping the first crocin syrup. Just wondering if there are other ways to stop the mercury from going to the point of needing meds.

For a different reason. This was a safety recall, some of the ingredient of children's/baby Tylenol product did not meet the standards and for some batch there was contamination. And extends to motrin, benadryl and zyrtec.

    Tikka,
I've heard of tylenol being associated with liver damage when used excessively but I thought it was fine in moderation. I've always been asked to stay away from ibuprofen as well. I guess we learn something new each day.

Asthma is waiting to attack you in the corner. You can keep it cornered by a little lifestyle modifications.

Tylenol is something which most doctors advise us to use here. Never heard of it being associated with asthma.
Anything changed in the past 2 years?

@Rakhii It is not Tylenol specifically but acetaminophen in general. Acetaminophen has been associated with asthma. Check this link: Tylenol, an asthma risk? | theGrio

The study has been done on Americans and African Americans. So should we include ourselves and decide on the course of action? Also everyday a new study is revealed, that at the end of the day the consumers are left wondering which to follow. At the end of the day trust the paed. Of course we need to be educated on the current issues to ask relevant questions to the paed.
