Excited to read more.
Thank you priya. i am glad you liked it
here comes the next part....
Kamya reached office early that day and all the way she was looking out for that guy. He was nowhere to be seen. She felt a bit of disappointment hit her heart but then thinking it as silly she involved herself in work. By lunch time she was sure she is not in a position to do work properly unless she knew where he was. Whom would she ask? She doesn’t even know his name in the first place. “I should have asked his name. just in case…..what am I thinking about? Never in my life had I thought about any boy and now, here I am going on looking for him everywhere I go. But she knew he was not a boy but a handsome 6 feet tall devastatingly handsome man with that smile on his face whenever she saw him.” Bringing herself out of this dreamy phase she finished her lunch and went back to her seat.
After two hours or so she felt that someone was watching her. When she raised her head she saw that there stood in front of her a man in blue jeans and casual white shirt looking at her as if she is a thief. She felt she has to defend herself against this man’s thoughts. Unknowingly she raised her head a fraction and looking at him with a questioning look asked who he was. He gave a sarcastic smile and asked back the same question in a bossy way.
“Who are you to talk to me like that?” She said with some unknown frustration at the looks he was throwing at her. She felt as if she was standing naked in front of him and he was gazing her with disgust for what he saw. What made her feel like this, she didn’t know. No one made her feel like this before. She kept looking at him without replying. May be he got bored with her, he said casually that he is her boss and that he came back from leave just today. With that he left from there. She kept looking at his back with an open mouth. She didn’t know that the person who introduced himself as her boss is just a replacement until this rude, arrogant fellow came back. She was disappointed that she had to work for this Gabbar. Yes, that is the name her heart gave him the moment she saw him.
She couldn’t stop herself from laughing. ‘GABBAR’ how apt it sounded!
For quite some time she couldn’t concentrate on her work. Jokes apart, she can’t work under such rude fellow. What can she do now? She can’t ask for a seat change as she has joined recently. Besides what would she tell her higher officials? That he is a rude person, so she doesn’t want to work under him? No, she can’t do that. For the first time she wished that that handsome fellow should have been her boss. Waving away these thoughts she hug herself for the future, as there is no doubt that this boss of hers is going to make her life a living hell.
Good going, please post lengthier episodes if possible.
I am happy to see that you liked my story Priya. I type whenever i find some time and post it here immediately. Since you asked to post a lengthier one i am posting the next episode too. I hope you will find it interesting.
Rest of the day passed without any more shocks. After reaching home Kamya kept thinking about ‘him’. “Where did he go? Why was he not there in the office or bus stand? Where did he vanish?” She couldn’t stop herself from thinking about him. “Oufff….. I wish I knew his name.” It was 100th time she told this to herself.
The next day she came to know that Gabbar’s name is Ananth. Days passed by without a glimpse of the mystery man. “Where is my mystery man?! oh my! I must be desperate to see him.” She thought laughing at her own words. Ananth- her boss made sure that each day was no less than hell on earth for her. He never spoke to her softly, nor appreciated her work. He made sure that she had to take her work to him personally and he kept her waiting without checking it immediately. Frustration grew in her to the peak. She despised him from the bottom of her heart.
Every time she got into the bus she searched the crew present, only to find disappointment in reply. One month has passed without a second glance of him. One day when she was in the lift going to the office in a very bad mood, as she had a fight in the bus with a person who was behaving badly, at 2nd floor the lift stopped. She felt more frustrated by this delay and with an annoyed look lifted her head to see who was entering into the lift. She was shocked, elated, and angry with the one standing in front of her. There he was with his devastatingly cute smile looking at her. Her heart melted with that look and she forgot all her anger and frustration. She smiled back.
He was surprised by this and came towards her and introduced himself. “Hi. My, my, you have a heart-stealing smile. Why don’t you always have that smile on your face? By the way, my name is Krishna. What is yours?”
“Why should I tell you mine? We are strangers to each other.” She said even though she was dying to tell him how much she missed him.
Wow…. Girl! don’t bite me. I was just trying to be your friend. Can’t we be friends?
Sure…. If you will just stop smiling at me like that and irritating me all the time whenever we came face to face.
Ok. Deal. I won’t irritate you again. I promise. Now tell me what is your name?
I would see how strictly you stick to your promise. Then, if am satisfied, I would think about your friendship proposal.
Before he could say another word the lift door opened indicating that her floor has arrived and she left without turning back with a smile on her face and happiness in her heart. She couldn’t wipe that smile off her face all day long. Even her boss Ananth noticed this and couldn’t stop himself from asking what the matter was. But she kept her lips tight and didn’t utter a word.
She was waiting for the office hours to come to an end so that she could meet Krishna. She was sure he would be there in the bus stop waiting for her. When she completed all the work and left the office premises, she noticed to her disappointment that he was nowhere to be seen. She looked in all directions and after being sure that he was not there stood there feeling dejected.
“May be he didn’t like her behavior. May be he got angry that she didn’t tell him her name. May be he was just making fun of her. May be…….” She couldn’t help but thinking about Krishna all the time. Why and when did he become so important? Why does she keep looking for him everywhere? She reached home with a heavy heart and having dinner silently, went to her room and slept on her bed thinking. Though her parents were surprised by her silence they didn’t force her to tell them the reason. She was grateful for this.
Had they asked her what would she tell them anyway? That she is in love with someone about whom she didn’t know a thing other than his name?
“What? I am in love? How is it possible? I hardly know him.”
Frustrated with her own confession, she went to bed and drifted into dreams.
