    hi il
    i'm staying in northwest suburb of chicago. i got my learner's license in chicago north while going to get my llr the traffic is so heavy ... can u please share ur experience and which dmv is easy to get license .... i have not learnt parallel parking and it is not coming for me ...

    Hi,
    I Dnt have license but trying to get one. Me too in northwest suburb of Chicago. Whether passed written test and where do test drive ??? I am looking for a deserted place where I can test drive. If you find anything,tell me.

    they usually donot ask you to do parallel parking.. but learn it neverthe less. Drivinng test is easy... just learn the basics ..and you are good

    Can you just explain what they asked you to do??? How many minutes driving??? Any feedback from them???? What are things I should keep in my mind,which they will ask us to do???

    i went there around 4 pm i was the last person who gave road test..
    1. he gave instruction how will he tell the directions
    2.my driving was around 10 min
    3. they asked to do parallel parking and asked a question ( three things to do in down hill parking 1. tire facing toward curb 2. parking gear 3. hand break )
    4. after returning to dmv they have some setup with cones we need to in and take reverse in between the cones without hitting cones
    5 final they parking set up in that we need to park take reverse in that space which direction they specify

    has anyone taken DL test at rockford location ?
    i had taken the test there in 2009.i was not told to do parallel parking or made to drive between cones.
    any updates on test in this loaction ??
