Let's try something we never tried before. We have stampede of writing styles ranging from factual, journalistic, creative to rhetoric in the forum. Here are the rules of the game to wring those inventive minds. Step#1: OP (original poster) posts a picture Step#2: RP (responding posters) transcribe facts, or, feelings, emotions, thoughts around that picture and post. Keep it short to one paragraph of no more than seven lines. One can attempt from varied angles i.e, entry#1: factual description of the picture, entry#2: metaphorical or allegorical prose #3: poetic verse. I've seen threads aplenty in the forum enquiring resources to improve vocabulary, articulation, fluency in speech. Why not try a different approach rather than expeditiously suggesting and redirecting to word blogs, self-improvement books. Let's not shy away from acquiring and improving language skills by discussing how best to describe a particular landscape, physiognomy, motion of objects or even the geometric forms and colors in the frame.
On first view, you could miss quite a bit. The two houses in the background - do they feel 'always the bridesmaid, never the bride' when the incorporeal inspect the neighborhood for houses to adopt. The wrap-around porch on the left - how far does it wrap around. Atop the spire is a weather-vane or crows circling or a weather-vane with dead crows? I have gazed at it so long now that I just have to find that broken window to peek inside and say hello to the furniture. Will it be all covered with white sheets, or ready to use, frozen in time, waiting for the family to return that never will. Did they? Just a peek. . .
Hmmmm what I see? That house = this thread! Both horror filled! Okies Okies am gone! I ll 'watch' N learn!
So this is where it happened. No wonder. It looks like the house in that movie - you know, the one where that guy has his dead mother propped up in a chair and slashes that girl in the shower? Anyway that's what it reminds me of. What kind of person would do that? The world is full of crazy people, getting crazier every day. They boarded the house up after it happened and I guess no one has lived in it since.
There I am standing, waiting for you to come Where are you? I am standing all alone by the light Can you not see me? The house once newly built is all old and forsaken now The future once bright is all gloomy now Its been eons I am waiting. Where are you? I peep from behind the curtains You can see my shadow by the window in the light Finally today you have come Oh I am so glad Step inside the house I am waiting to welcome you in my arms - Poem written by the ghost of the house
Is this the house where Ariana Dumbledore was kept by her parents.... far from the prying eyes of wizarding and muggle world? I wonder what she thought as she waited on this porch for Aberforth to return from school. The light in the upstairs bedroom..? Could it be...is it possible....that Albus is still there ...poring over his books or corresponding with the notable wizards ?
Here I am eagerly waiting In this eerie land for your arrival My doors will be open wide Not for one, two or three... But for the innumerable ones yet to arrive. For each entry in the castle A candle will be lit, And this will go on .... Until the horror castle turns to a full lit mansion And the eerie land to a serene land. Remember this is just the beginning.........
