Thankyou, Unfortunately tulips need 5-6 months of really cold weather to be able to root, i plant the bulbs in sept-Oct, and they bloom in April - May.

    Dear Smita,

Y'day i potted tulips (with buds) in pots in my balcony along with pansies. of the 5 bulbs potted (in 4 pots) 3 are a bit droopy:( should i replant them? they have full sunlight. i thought they'll straighten up last evening or early today morning but no they're so sadly bent down. please some tips...

    Dear Latha,

Did you plant them in the same dept as the pot they came in.
Did you water it in well after planting. If the answer is yes to both then don't worry it might spring back up.

Were all five plants in the same pot ? If you seperated the bulbs it could be shock of transplanting ( seperating them) it happens sometimes don't worry no damage done they will flower again next year. Use the droopy flowers as cut flowers for this year.

When repotting you could have accidently knocked the stem of the flower it is very common, as it joined to the leaf at the base it happened to me this year with my daffodils .

Hope this is of some help.

    Smita,

as i type this 2 of them have woken up:)

yes i transferred with part of their birth soil. and yes i separated them:( no they didn't get knocked off the stem.

does one bulb produce only one flower?

    Latha
