    Sandy
so sorry to hear about your failed iui. I have been through 3 failed iuis. So I know how heart breaking it is to see the AF.
Dont worry and start a fresh cycle.
As vasu suggested check the stats for the last cycle from your gynaec so you can concentrate on those this time.
baby takes its own sweet time.. patience is the key. So hang in there and our time will come.
    baby dust to you

    Hi Vasu, Deepali, VLR,

Thanks for your support. Feels really good. Trust me.

Vasu, I had one matured follicle in my right ovary and guess it ruptured post 18mm....end thickness was 9.1+.....progestrone I am not sure. Apart from these I am on Metmorphin (no, I am not diabetic) & Folvite.

Just visited my gynaec today, she has put me on Letrox this time (last two times were Siphene) for my ovulation to happen normally.

And the rigmarole begins.... :) only to hope brings happiness this time!

My hubby has been very very supportive, so are the rest of my family members. And yes, I am hopeful too.... just that my baby is acting very pricey and demanding unnecessary footage.. (VLR, Deepali, so is the case with your babies...) How these kiddos like to test their Mamma's patience!! :)

VLR, Deepali all the best to you too dear...

I shall come back now...hopefully with Gooooooood News!

    Sandy

    Hi Sandy,

I totally agree with all the opinions expressed here so far. There are a lot of factors which are needed to make an IUI successful.A follicle of 18mm is ideal for IUI and also the endo thickness seems good to me.

Good to know that there is a change in your protocol and may be this change will bring you the much needed joy.I wish you all the best wholeheartedly and I will say a prayer for you today.May all your prayers be answered soon.

    Hey all friends out there!

    Warm hello from me...

As I am beginning to write this post, I realize that I am completely disheartened and devastated :-(

Tried IUI for the second time got my PMS on the day 31 (which is a delay of 6 days as I get absolute regular periods on day 26)

Was on Microgest and Metformin for the whole cycle this time. Have mixed feelings about the use of Microgest though.....

Anyways now I am thinking of visiting an Infertility specialist for further treatments as two IUI's have already passed....

    Am in Mumbai, any suggestions???

Am thoroughly confused on which doc should I consult, one of my friend has referred - Reliance Life Sciences in Worli (Reliance Life Sciences :: Reliance Industries :: Reliance Group) - Dr. Ameet Patki - any opinions /feedbacks /reviews???

    Please help...

    Dear SandyM,

I am not aware of this doctor you are talking about. IUI has succeeded for few and not for many. There are even people who have udnergone4-5 IUI's and no success and few made it in the first itself. Relax and discuss with your doctor and if required take a break for a month before you start next IUI/next line of treatment.I have 3 IUI's done for me but no success :-( and my periods always got delayed after IUI for 10-15 days. Take care and we all will succeed.:thumbsup

I agree with Radha. Not everyone gets success with the first or second IUI. I know these treatments causes more stress, but compared to all other big treatments like IVF, IUI is definitely a easy one. So, I would suggest that you don't lose hope and try for one more IUI (after discussing with your gynaec).

Did you also check the fallopian tubes? If egg ovulates at right time with good factors like endometrium thickness, good hormonal level, clear fallopian tubes then definitely you might get positive result soon.

Even for a couple who don't have any issues (both male and female), sometimes it may take more than 6 months to conceive even if they have intercourse at the right time on every month.

    Thanks guys....

That surely does help... I know I have to be strong and optimistic.... working on that.

All my factors like ET thickness, hormonal levels, ovulation period, etc...were perfect (unless there is something else unknown) I have now decided to try with a Infertility specialist... guess that should do the needful...

Hoping to be called a "mamma" soon ... thanks

    Sandy
