1.Substitute high fat dairy foodslike paneer,milk, curds with their low fat counterparts in soups,salads ,gravies. 2.Avoid using ghee .Use moderate quantities of oil wherever required,adding more spices and flavourings to compensate for the flavour which oil lends to the food. 3.Limit the use of cheese. 4.Replace dry fruits and coconut in gravies with vege purees like cauliflower. 5.Restrict the use of high fat cream.Use low fat curds instead.Use low fat milk mixed with cornflour,instead of cream in gravies and sauces. 6.Use skim milk powder instead of khoya for gravies,mithais. 7.Consume fruits and their juices without adding sugar ,vegetables and sprouts as healthy snack options instead of chips. 8.Take low fat fruit based dessert like apple rabadi when feel like having a sweet. 9.Avoid deep fried foods.You can even cook them in microwave or non stick tawa which consumes only one spoon of oil.
