    Hi,

My sister (in US) is due for her delivery this December and she would like my parents who is visiting her then, to get a few clothes for the kid, that is of traditional Indian style. It will be a boy. Probably something that she can make him wear for parties or celebrations, when he grows up a bit.

This is the first kid in the family and we have no prior experience of shopping for a kid.

Can you provide some suggestions on
    1) type of cloth options we should be looking for
    2) Stores where we can find good collections of these in Chennai

    Appreciate your help.

Thanks for your quick and valuable suggestions.

    Satin,

Sriram textiles did have a good collection like you mentioned and we were able to secure three sherwani/kurtha style dresses for the infant. Will try and post some pics later of them if I can.

    Appreciate your help.
