the thing is that when you see any jewellery zoom picture it focuses on showing u the details in the design. it is also the same with watches, hair pins etc. they are meant to show you the intricate design on them. as per the pieces all the measurements are generally given with the jewelery design. like the size oof the total piece, size of the earring, pendant, beads etc. It is a standard practice with
any more doubts let us know.

 

I made a purchase for a gold necklace set at totaram.com, their item
description stated that the weight of the item was between 37.600 - 38.600
grams. Before placing the order I had called and asked them if I would get
37.600 grams or 38.600 grams and for what weight I am being charged for.
They made it very clear and explained it very well to me that all the items
are always priced for the lower side of the weight (37.600 grams in my case)
and that since a lot of items are made to order, its weight may increase by
upto 1 grams, if the weight increases upto 1 grams, they still do not charge
us. So, I do not really think that we are paying for 1 gram extra, on the
other hand, if we are lucky, we may actually get 1 gram of gold extra for
FREE. I finally received my necklace set which is beautiful and awesome, I
just love it. The necklace set's weight was 38.150 grams, I got the weight
and purity tested at another jewelry store and it was perfect. With my
experience at totarams, I was very thrilled and have recommended them to all
my friends as well as purchased many more items from them and never had any
problems. I dont think there is any other jewelry shop or website which will
give out upto 1 gram of gold for free without charging for it. All in all,
its a great place to shop and I am extremely happy with their products and
service.

I bought afew items from then on their website and my friends are regulars at the site.
They are safe and they dont charge ur card immediately when u order the jewelery.
They charge only after the product is shipped to you. Dont know many people who do that to u after thier sale is confirmed.
Also one more intresting thing- After ordering, the price of gold had increased but they still charged me the rate at which they booked the piece for me. In another instance someone else charged me the higher rate even after booking the order at the lower gold rate. I saved about 145 dollars with them.

 

I agree with you payalreddy32 that they have zoomed to highlight the intricate designs. But, I think it will be better if there is a normal view and zoomed view so that you can make a better decision without any wrong assumptions during online purchase. Just my opinion..

 

Totaram's US store doesnt change their products price when gold price goes down but increases the price when gold price goes up. Currently the gold price is low to $1287 per ounce but the rates on Totaram website haven't changed as per the current gold price. They still show rates equal to almost $1500 per ounce.

I have been longing to buy jewelry in US and was regularly monitoring website and waiting for them to update price since past 2 months but no luck.

I guess I need to start looking for any other store. Any suggestions?
