Too much itching during pregnancy

Severe Belly Itching...

Hi,

I am in 34th week. Last few days I am getting very severe Belly itching. The bottom of my abdomen itching a lot, especially in the night times. So that I cant sleep well. Is it normal in this period or I am having any problem??? I am worrying about it.

I tried vaseline but its not works for me. Is there any other cream which is safe to use now???

Really I need your help friends, please help me...

I had severe belly itching around the time I was 28 weeks pregnant and I thought it was dryness, but sadly it was the beginnings of stretch marks. I have also learned there's only so much you can do for stretch marks as they can be hereditary. I used Vitamin E oil a lot, you can also use Palmer's stretch marks lotion.

I had itching for few days in my 30th week . I applied hydrocortison (OTC cream) . Anyway naturally itching went away after few days. I think all stretch marks creams are just a joke. I'm applying palmers coco butter cream starting from 4th month but I developed stretchmarks in my 7th month. My mom don't have any stretch marks but I still have it.

Palmers cocoa butter lotion and other such lotions with vitamin E and Aloe vera are very good and helpful.
It seems stretch marks can be completely avoided if you take care not to scratch.. for me that did not work. but these products are really helpful. Aloe vera is also so soothing to the skin
Also you can ask your ob gyn for more help. Good luck

Hi Friends,

Thank you so much for your suggestions.

Today I had Dr. visit and showed my itching belly. She diagnosed it as Pregnancy Rash called as PUPPP. It will disappear after devivery only. And gave some medications to control it.

Let us wait and see when I will be relieved...

Yes Riya,

Its mainly depends on Stretchmarks only. It will come during the period when we get more stretchmarks (ie. third trimester).

Thanks, that's what happened to me, so I was wondering if I had the same issue you have or not. I would still recommend you use vitamin oil, it won't hurt but can only help.

I have a questions all.

I am in my 34 week. I dont have stretch marks so far. my mom didnt have it.

Do you think i can have them still ? also do stretch marks come during pregnancy only or can they appear after delivery ?? how many months after delivery do they keep appearing ??

i am so scared about this whole thing as i am approaching delivery time..

HI

Try Aloe Vera or peel of ripe banana which you can rub lightly over your belly and leave the pulp from the peel staying on you r belly.
