    hello friends,
My son is just trying to speak a few words. My mom used to tell him stories, and now he is saying "kakka and nari" (crow and the fox) story , in such a beautiful way with expressions. We all ask him to say it for more than 10 times a day. Some of the lines are here,
"kakka kakka alga irkiye (azhaga irukiye - look beautiful)
"vada thoppu viluthucham (vadai falls down)
    "kakka yema pocham (yemanthu pocham)

    regards
    karthiga:wave

    Hi All,

It's really so interesting to read the cute little words of all Toddler's.

Would like to share some of my DS's favourite words too.

1)E! E! - idi (thunder)in tamil.Few months back there was heavy rain with thunder sound,
he closed his ears by hearing the sound so i told him that was "idi" don't be
scared like that in tamil he got stuck up with the first letter.
    2) tha - we used to say let's go tata(for going out)
3)mumma!! mumma!! - for mum mum(to have food) he says with full josh.
    4) iyeah, iyeah, iyeah - While me and my hubby talks we use noi,noi nu pesadhey
(don't keep on talk) so my son comes in between and says these words continuously.
    5) pa pa pom,pa pa pom - Here a man comes sounding pom pom horn for getting old
newspaper daily by 10AM or often...so whenever my son hears
this horn sound he says this.
    6) SAS - For socks.
    7) IS... IS... - For Mixie(he has named it with the sound comes from it)

    :)

    Nice read, really!

    Let me add mine:

    My 14-month-old says:
    1. Ishk for rusk.
    2. ish for fish.
    3. Baba for paati (He invented it. He also uses this word if he wants to call any new person).
    4. Kaa for car, kaanom, current...each comes with a different intonation for us to differentiate.
    5. Dada, mumma...
    6. If someone is sleeping, he says grrr which means sleep.
    7. And yes, Paapa...AFter seeing my cousin who is pregnant, he thinks everybody has a paapa in their tummy...Today, he tried to feed the "paapa" in my tummy with a spoon..:bonk

The other day he wanted to ask where is paati...he kept asking baa kaa? baa kaa? He conveys literally everything through actions...
